Character Name: King Frey Ragnar Hælæif
Race: Manihavetian
Age: 32
Physical Description: King Frey although he lives in the cold climate of Manihavetia has evenly tanned complexion from long voyages on their ships, where the sun beats down. He is about 6’5” about middle ground for a Manihavetian. Long chestnut wavy hair extends to his broad shoulders to frame Frey’s face, some strands are braided and beaded. Light blue eyes accent this hair. His beard is cropped near his face across his thin lips and prominent jaw. His body is racked with muscle from his many years performing labor out on sea and sword/axe play.
Personal Style: King Frey dresses differently out on sea than he does in his homeland of Manihavetia. Out on sea, weather permitting, he wears a long white tunic with brown leather britches, and knee-high black boots, with a large decorated belt that holds his knifes, daggers and leather sheathed short sword on his hip. During Manihavetia winters, he wears layers of fur and leather, with his summer clothing, topped off with a Worgen fur cape. Also when on land, he took upon himself a broad sword that was sheathed across his back; the hilt of the broad sword was adorned with jewels.
Playby: Viggo Mortenson
Disposition: King Frey seems to have very serious airs around his being, this being an understatement. Even though he is very proud of his homeland of Manihavetia, he rules his people with an iron fist, with little sympathy. Power meant everything in this society so despite his personality his people love him. Of all the races in Areythia, he found the creatures of the Night to be prey to hunt especially the Worgens that they could use for fur. He worshipped the Merpeople like gods, the people of the Majestic Sea provided the Manihav’s with children and fertile fishing grounds.
History:As a Manihavetian man, King Frey holds his personal reputation over everything. When a Manihavetian man reaches manhood at eighteen, they are subject to play a series of games that make them fight for survival, only the strongest and smartest survive also keeping the ratio of men to women constant. Not even the King’s sons were exempt from this practice, though out of all the late King’s sons only Frey survived. Before Frey his parents had had 6 other boys and three girls, the other six boys died during those games, leaving his parents to hope that lucky number seven was the one to become their heir, as they grew older. His three sisters had been married off to produce pure blood Manihavetians (The royal family is known to produce more daughters than is normal). As a child, to ensure his survival in those games Frey’s father made sure his son had the best tutors for both his schooling and as soon as Frey was able to pick up a sword he went about finding masters of each weapon, except the gun. Through the games King Frey earned his middle name Ragnar which means “warrior of judgement”, also his given name Frey means “God of Weather” or “Supreme Lord,” his parents had high hopes that this child would be the one to survive, and survive Frey did. Now he had been ruling his country for around 10 years. But he still had yet to father a child, nor did he wish to do so.

300 word RP sample for this character: Frey got very anxious when he was stuck at his stronghold in Manihavetia, it started to feel cramp compared to wide open spaces. He decided finally that he need to get up from his chambers a take a walk. He exhaled an exaggerated breath, as he stepped outside. “Finally fresh cool air.” He commented to himself. It was the middle of summer in Manihavetia, but like always the weather always remained cool because of it’s proximity to the Northern Kingdom where the supposed “Creator” hid themselves away or so the stories go. Frey and many other Manihav men had searched for the Northern Kingdom but were redirected and somehow always ended up at Manihavetia, some even disappeared never to be seen again. He didn’t like the heat of the Day Kingdom that he had to endure when going near those places.
Frey made his way down to the docks past the great hall. He noted that part of the thacted roof needed patched. He touched the sea-salted ropes that attached to his main ship. The sea was rocking his boat back and forth in a rhythm he had grown to adore. The sea was his lover, not what his advisor kept pushing him to do. When he was younger he had attempted to find a woman he could marry, but decided not to go through with it. For awhile his advisors left him alone, but as a few years passed they began getting on his case about producing an heir. Think of his people, and he could use a woman in his life. This was just all noise to his ears, as all he knew was too fight and know the waves. Had he loved a woman before, yes. Had they loved him, no. He tried and tried but ultimately gave up, now the notion that there was no woman out there for him set in his mind. He resorted to use infertile women as ways too obtain his need to pleasure himself, not to obtain a wife. Women found him strikingly handsome, so to get women wasn’t the problem, it was keeping them. Though once and only once did he produce an heir to his throne that was three years ago, but both the mother and child died during childbirth. This set in stone his beliefs, as the woman and child he loved died behind closed doors. The very thought of marriage made him upset. He sighed and sat down, dangling his legs over the dock, staring down into the glassy water beneath him trying to clear his thoughts. His late fiancée’s kisses lingered in his thoughts, followed by the birthing screams, then silence.
