Character Name: Queen Cassiopeia Starfire (Cassie)
Race: Skylarian
Age: 27
Physical Description: Queen Cassiopeia is often described as being soft and warm, her perfect pale complexion is usually adorned with a caring smile and slight rosiness to her cheeks. Her long blond hair is usually twisted up in a twist at the nape of her neck unless in private when she wears it falling loosely around her shoulders. Slight in build but rather tall at 6ft she never looks thin or underweight, instead graceful and elegant. She has full lips and a little pert nose and blue eyes but its her warm smile that draws everyone's attention.
Personal Style: The Queen wears comfortable gowns and in everyday life doesn’t dress any more extravagantly than most people in Areythia. Usually the only obvious way to determine that she is actually the Queen is by the gold bracelets and necklace that she wears, gifts from her husband. Cassie has been known to sneak out of the castle wearing some of her husband breaches to go riding with him much to the dismay of her chamberlain. When required to dress for ceremonies or events, she prefers to wear white or pale blue gowns, on these occasions she dresses with only her husband in mind.
Playby: Katherinne Heigl
Disposition: Cassie tend to be ruled by her heart and not her head. This means that not always what she thinks is the best course of action in a situation is really the best option for all involved. She often gets frustrated with having to be objective when she sees that one person is suffering more than another. Cassie is the sort to back the underdog and although this makes her popular with the poorer people in Areythia it does little to impress some of the more influential people. While her husband spends much of his days in diplomatic tension, Cassie is often off working with the poor, healing the sick who cannot afford access to a healer or helping the less lucky in life. She is genuinely caring, softly spoken but strong willed when defending something she is passionate about. She is generous sometimes to a fault and believes in equality for all of the citizens of the kingdom. Although she needs to be restrained and conscience of her actions because of her position, it is when she is with her husband that she feels truly free to be herself.
History: As far back as Cassie can remember she was Orion’s wife to be and then eventually once married his true wife. She was 3 years old when the then King of Skylarian came to her parents and made the arrangements for her marriage to his son, the future king. She remembers little about that time, her first memory of the royal family was going to stay at the castle when she was 8, she sat dressed in a over frilly gown and watched the prince ride his pony around in a circle while learning to brandish his sword while at a gallop. Cassie was little impressed with the older boy and what she believed to be showing off. It was a few years later that they were again together at a large event, she had heard crying and had slipped away from the hall to comfort a young serving girl that had fallen and twisted her ankle, the prince came around the corner chatting to someone she assumed was his friend. She was surprised when he waved his friend away to get a healer and knelt down opposite Cassie, when she looked up their eyes met and they both smiled slowly and shyly at each other. Her heart seemed to skip a beat and while she watched him lift the serving girl up onto a lounge with great care she knew from that moment on that she would love her husband with all her soul. The next day she slipped her minders and went looking for him, to thank him for his kind help, she found him near the stables. Blushing furiously she approached, as he turned to her she became speechless and all she could manage was to stand on her tiptoes and gently kiss his cheek. She was quickly whisked away, but that night in the hall for their meal, when Cassie arrived at her place, a white rose was waiting for her. She looked around confused for a moment but she quickly found the prince watching her, she smiled at him and there began their love. It was an unnecessary because she was promised to him and would marry him and bear his child, or most likely children, but it quickly grew into a love she felt more strongly that anything she had ever known or heard about and she truly felt that their marriage was the greatest blessing of her life.

Cassie stood, her legs shaky and her knees sore. She whispered quietly to the maid standing beside her and grabbing a cold cloth she walked to wipe the exhausted face of the young women.
“Keep it up Leahlee, your babe will enter the world in the next hour you count my words, but it needs your help.”
Cassie smiled as the women gritted her teeth and stifled a scream. The maid returned with warmed water and clean blankets. Outside her husband, a baker in the kitchen, paced, waiting to hear the squark of his babe, and having to refrain from running in each time he heard his wife scream.
Twenty minutes later she passed the women a small piece of wood “bite this it is time” she said softly and as the next contraction came “PUSHHHH!” she urged as the babies head crowned. A few more pushes later and the baby slid from its mother lifeless and looking blue.
The women screamed and wailed while the maid tried to push her down onto the bed. The door slammed open against the door and her husband barged in, he took one look at the babe and fell to his knees beside his wife.
Holding the child close to her, Cassie cut the umbilical cord and lay her head to listen for a heart beat. At first she thought the babies chest was quiet but then she thought she heard a very faint flutter. She quickly lowered her mouth to the babies and blew a great lungful of air into him.
She was about to listen again when the baby inhaled sharply and began to wail. The parents both looked shocked, staring at the child. Taking a blanket she wrapped the baby and placed him into his mothers arms.
“Your son” she whispered as the parents tears turned from pain to joy.
She slipped out quietly, leaving the parents fussing over their babe, and quickly returned home to the castle, her escort all weary in the saddle due to the late hour. She rushed up to their quarters after quickly washing the blood from her hands in fountain but not bothering to change her clothes.
As she rushed through the doors she was greeted by her husband.
“Where have you been?” he complained. “I was so worried.”
She slid her arms around her husband’s waist and buried her face in his shoulder “The baker’s wife just had her babe, a son. The healers were busy because apparently my husband was shot at and needed ALL of their attention.” She smiled up at him, her hand reaching out to touch his cheek “Are you alright?” she asked with concern.
